How does the custom watercolor commission process work?
You fill in the form with the format and colours you have in mind. I reply by email with a sketch direction, and once we agree I start painting. You get photos along the way, and the finished painting is sealed and shipped.
Can the artwork be planned for a specific room?
Yes, that is the most common request. Tell me the wall dimensions, how the light falls, the colours of the furniture and what you want to feel when you look at it. A photo of the wall helps a lot.
What materials and techniques are used?
Artist-grade Van Gogh watercolors and mineral pigments on 300 gsm 100% cotton archival paper, with gold paint where the design calls for it.
What is the turnaround and delivery timeframe?
Painting takes two to four weeks depending on size and detail. The painting then ships in rigid, archival packaging by courier.
